After far too long away, the English Amateur Billiards Association is back online — and this time everything lives in one place and keeps itself up to date.
For more than a year we’ve run the Association on Facebook: fixtures, results, reports, and a set of rankings worked out by hand. It did the job, but it was a great deal of effort and nothing was ever quite where you’d expect to find it. The new site changes that.
What it means for you:
- Rankings that look after themselves. Open and Senior tables update automatically as results go in — no more manual maths — and you can see exactly how every total is built up.
- The calendar in your pocket. Browse the season’s fixtures and subscribe, so they drop straight into the calendar on your phone and stay up to date as things change.
- Everything on the day, on your phone. Follow the draw, group tables, session times and results live as a competition unfolds — so you can see who you’re playing and what’s coming next without having to collar the tournament director.
- A record of every break, with a top-breaks list and a breaks table for the season.
- A page for every player — their competition history, breaks and ranking.
- And a bit of fun: the “Par” rankings, a what-if table imagining how everyone would have done had they entered every event.
