Congratulations to Rob Hall who won his 9th English Amateur Billiards Championship defeating John Mullane 2,131 to 259.
John got off to a great start with an early 98 but Rob bounced back with a 113 & 381 which set the tone for the day with Rob playing superb billiards.
Additional breaks of 55, 162, 339, 526, 133 & 215 gave Rob an average of 107 per visit which is just billiards from the Gods.
Well done Rob, a worthy champion yet again.
The trophy was presented by Jim McCann who received the honour of Life Membership of the EABA for all his services to Billiards over many years.
Bob Slee did a faultless job refereeing as too did scorers Ste Harrison and Chris Ellis. Fabulous day of Billiards at the historical Whitworth Centre.
