Sheehan Storms to win in Derby!
Peter Sheehan played consistently well all day in winning the fifth ABC of the season at the Cueball Derby! Sheehan had a top break of 348 on the day and numerous other high value efforts.
In the final Sheehan won 417-219 against Gary Norman with breaks of 139 and 107. Sheehan overcame Rob Hall in the semi finals by 100 points (with a top break of 160), and beat Darren Kell in the quarter finals.
Norman did well to reach the final with narrow wins over Matty Jackson in the semi final, and Craig Fitzpatrick in the quarter finals showing good composure in the latter stages.
The plate winner was Mark Graham who had a string of 50 plus breaks to win. He defeated Paul Robinson in the semi finals, and won 262-180 against Richard Whittle in the final.
The day’s high break came from Rob Hall with a 400 in his first round match against Ian Dennis.
On the day 44 players competed despite the weather, and it was great to see Tony Mackinder return to the EABA fold.
