York’s Jon Marwood played well all day but was halted in the final by the usual suspect – Rob Hall. Hall’s century tally was 159 (in the final), 147,130,104unf and 167, Mark Hatton hit a 111 and Alan Scott a 130 and 157 in winning the plate. Marwood scored well all day, beating Simon Snee in his semi-final, Steve Crosland had a good run to the other before coming up against Hall. In a good plate final, Scott was around 100 behind when a kick stopped Mark Graham in his tracks, Scott capitalising with 157 and 67 breaks in quick succession. Graham beat James ‘pineapple’ McCann in the semi, Tony Cooke giving Scott a good game in the other.
