2018/19 2nd ABC Tournament – Top Marks for Hirst

Sun 7th October 2018, Clay Cross, Derbyshire.

In an all Yorkshire final Mark Hirst narrowly beat Mark Hatton who had the consolation of taking the days highest break with a fine 142. Nathan Mann kept up his good form before falling to Hirst, who had a 101 break in an earlier round, Hatton beating travelling companion Ron Bickerdike in the other semi. Youngster Harley Dyson played in his first ABC and Korbin Lowe beat a few good players including Craig Fitzpatrick who recovered to knock in a stream of breaks in the plate final to overcame Richard Whittle, their semi final opponents being Eddie Fielding and Chris Achilles.
